В статье проанализирован обзор мировой литературы по склеротерапии гидроцеле 96 % этиловым спиртом. Результаты проведенных разными авторами исследований свидетельствуют  не только о высокой эффективности склеротерапии спиртом (от 91,5 до 97,1 %), но и о ее  минимальной инвазивности – снижаются случаи ранних послеоперационных осложнений  (эпидидимит, отек и инфильтрация мошонки), возникновения гематом и нагноения раны. Кроме того, после проведения склеротерапии не выявлено отрицательного воздействия спирта на  ткань яичка по результатам спермограммы, исследований структуры паренхимы яичка и показателей кровотока (по ультразвуковым данным), морфологического исследования ткани яичка.

This paper provides an analysis of currently available publications devoted to sclerotherapy of hydrocele with 96 % ethanol. The results of  multiple studies suggest not only high efficiency of sclerotherapy with  ethanol (from 91.5 % to 97.1 %), but also its minimal invasiveness: it  decreases the frequency of early postoperative complications such as  epididymitis, edema, and scrotal infiltration, as well as hematoma and wound suppuration. Moreover, sclerotherapy with ethanol has been  shown to have no negative impact on the testicular tissue according to  the results of spermogram, ultrasonic examination of testicular  parenchyma and blood flow, and morphological assessment of testicular tissue.
